3 Great Dates… Without Breaking the Bank

Do you ever feel like your dating routine involves drinks, dinner and movie theater popcorn? We all get into a dating rut from time to time, and many of our routines can get pretty expensive. Here are a few date night ideas to get closer to your significant other AND save a little cash from your budget.

1)     Picnic in a park

Sure, it sounds quaint and maybe a little bit old fashioned, but who doesn’t like to sip wine with their bae under the open sky. And because it’s the thought and effort that counts, you don’t have to make expensive French food and wine to make this picnic memorable.  Our #NotSponsored favorites? Try a lightly chilled bottle of Chateau Miraval Cotes de Provence Rose for $22 (fun fact, the vineyard is co-owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie), alongside a cheese and cracker assortment for the perfect start to a romantic night.

2)     Watch your bae’s favorite childhood movie

Want a break from streaming your favorite new shows on Netflix? Find a copy of their favorite movie growing up, pop yourself some microwave popcorn and have a retro revival. It’s cheaper than going to the theater for a recent release and because it’s his favorite, it will tap into all his good feels. You’ll have him eating out of your hand (or whatever else you have in mind for later) in no time as his good memories of the movie associate with the new memories you create.

3)     Create your couples bucket list

If you haven’t done it before, pour yourself some wine (did we mention we love the Miraval Rose?) and talk about the things you want to do together as a couple. Do you want to travel to Southeast Asia? Does he want to do missionary work in the deep south? These conversations can help you develop shared goals to work toward, and help you develop budgets that make your bucket list dreams come true.
